White Green Tea
Probably every one on the planet has heard of green tea. Well, there is another tea that is making quite a stir - white green tea.
Who knows, maybe some day we will be drinking White Green Tea!
For those of you who haven't yet heard, green tea is high in antioxidants, which are wonderful for our bodies.
Antioxidants are known to inhibit the growth of cancer cells, reduce high blood pressure, give protection against strokes, improve blood flow to the heart, reduce cholesterol, inhibit the formation of blood clots in artery walls, maintain even blood sugar levels, lowers the risk of osteoporosis, enhances immune function and helps fight infections, and inhibits the growth of bacteria that can cause gum disease, cavities and bad breath.
While White Green Tea is still a fantasy, it might just be a great idea. They both come from the same plant, Camellia sinensis.
The difference is that the white tea is harvested earlier than the green tea.
It's picked before the buds open, and they still have the white fuzz on them. Thus, the name white green tea came about.
White tea has about three times the number of antioxidants than the green tea.
It also has a sweeter taste and less caffeine than green tea.
White green tea is a little more expensive, but the benefits outweigh the price!
